Galileo RF Systems Engineer - Spain
This is an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to work on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.
CETRA BASE is currently looking for a versatile Engineer with experience in RF and/or Ground Stations.
The position is based in Madrid.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Follow up the design and development activities of the Galileo Ground Control Segment in the areas of Ground Stations, antenna mechanics, Radio frequency (RF) and monitoring and control
- Support the development and upgrades of Telemetry and Telecommand Control Facilities (TTCFs) on the Galileo remote sites
- Support the element and ground segment validation tests in factory and on-site
- Support the integration of ground station emulators
- Support anomaly investigations
- Generate technical documentation
- Assitance to technical meetings
- Support on-site installations (travels to the TTCF remote sites are expected)
Qualifications
- University degree in Telecommunications Engineering or similar
- 2-3 years of experience in Systems and requirement validation
- Experience in validation of ground stations operational systems,
- Experience with test procedures and test reports
- Excellent team worker
- Advanced level in English, both written and spoken. French would be valuable
- Availability to travel within Europe and to the Galileo remote sites
Security
In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
