Galileo Cybersecurity Engineer - Spain


This is an exciting opportunity for a Galileo Cybersecurity Engineer, to work on the Galileo project, the European space #EUSpace flagship programme.

CETRA BASE is currently looking for a versatile and pro-active engineer who wants to work at the Galileo Security Monitoring Centre (GSMC) in an international environment and agile company in the cyber security sector.

The position is based at the EUSPA/GSMC premises in San Martin de la Vega (Madrid).

 

Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support EUSPA in developing, deploying, upgrading and maintaining its GSMC Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), following the defined Operational Engineering Process.

The domain of expertise encompasses PRS, Security Monitoring and Crisis management but it may be extended to new missions of the GSMC.

This encompasses operations engineering-related activities as follows:

  • Update the GSMC concept of operations and operational interfaces
  • Collaborate in the deployment, validation and operation of the security tools and platforms in the area of log management
  • Contribute to the Cyber organisation and help to continuously improve the security platforms
  • Contribute to the definition and the validation of mission-related equipment
  • Develop the SOP and contribute to the justification files
  • Contribute to the test and validation
  • Report and troubleshoot system anomalies, contributing to the Anomaly Review Boards and to the identification and implementation of workarounds;
  • Prepare the migration plans and assist during the transition to new or upgraded services
  • Contribute to the end-to-end service validation

Qualifications and experience
  • University degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Experience in network security management platforms (Qradar)
  • Experience in Event management (Log Management Centre, Correlation function, Mission Supervision…)
  • Experience in Security Incident Management (ticketing tool…)
  • Experience in Vulnerability Management
  • Experience in Cyber Intelligence Management
  • Experience with both Linux & Windows from an engineering perspective
  • Scripting or programming skills in any language
  • Experience in Integration, Verification and Validation of SW
  • Experience with test procedures and test reports
  • Experience in Security Operations/Engineering
  • Customer focus mindset and willingness to help and find solutions with motivation to pick up new skills, having a positive, proactive and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent team worker
  • Very good verbal and written English

Security
In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state. 
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
